Winter Parking Ban

The ban is presently in effect (started November 15th) and continues to April 1st.  During that time period, vehicles cannot be parked on the street between the hours of 12 midnight and 7AM.  Violators will be receive a $10.00 ticket.  The Department will give out courtesy warning cards through Thanksgiving night, but after that time cars parked during the prohibited hours will be ticketed.  If we get plowable snow before that time, tickets will be issued and cars will be towed at the owner’s expense to facilitate snow removal.  Owners of cars should be aware that parking on any sidewalk at any time of the year is a violation that carries a $10.00 fine. Those using the municipal parking lot on South Street behind the Horseshoe Pub can park overnight in the designated area but they must have their car moved by 7AM any time it snows to allow for snow removal.  Cars that are left in this designated area after 7AM will be towed at the owner’s expense.
