Over four decades ago, officers of the Hudson Police Department gathered together and formed a fraternal organization that they named the Hudson Police Association (HPA). The HPA was originally established to help out of work officers who became injured or ill.Their secondary goal was to offer financial assistance to local non-profit youth and civic organizations.Over the years, the members set lofty goals for themselves by increasing the number of charitable organizations that they supported and amount of money they donated. In 1995 the group formally established themselves as a non-profit fraternal organization and became the known and the Hudson Police Association, Inc.The objectives and goals that were first established by officers in 1966 were retained when the organization reorganized in 1995.
Since that time, the members of the HPA, Inc. have worked tirelessly to promote good will between the police department and the residents of Hudson. To this day, the Hudson Police Association, Inc. remains focused on its original goals and it continues to be a major donor to those groups who rely on community support for their existence. The Association members sincerely thank all the residents and business owners that have financially assisted us over the years which allows us to continue and broaden the good work that we do in the community.
